Technology and I

One might think that since I write on this here blog fairly regularly that I know what I'm doing when it comes to computers and the internet.  Once again I've been reminded... that I evidently don't.

Whether the Free/.99 e-book debacle today was my fault or not, it was yet another reminder that as much as I try to control things and make them happen the way I want them to, they often don't.  This is extremely frustrating not to mention extremely humbling.

I can't tell you how disappointed I am that this promotion didn't start off as planned.  Sure, it was going to be nice to get the word out about the cookbook, but what I REALLY wanted to do was make it FREE for all of you who do not yet have a copy.

I am truly sorry that I was not able to make this happen.  The fact that I was unable to follow through on a promise (AND that several friends helped promote that promise) and it didn't come true makes me sick to my stomach.  All of you who have helped share about it despite the mix up are amazing- thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Please forgive me.  And thank you for letting me be my well-meaning-albeit-always-imperfect self. We'll all just keep on keeping on and give thanks in all circumstances.

In the meantime, the e-book will stay highly discounted throughout the rest of the week for anyone who would like to download a copy here.

My name is Jane and I am a technology dork ;-).

And I love you all to bits.

  1. Ah Jane, we've all been there in some form or other. When I checked out at 99-cents I shrugged and happily clicked. STILL an amazing gift and TERRIFIC value to your readers. I thank you SO MUCH as my budget will not currently allow any new cookbooks since ... waitforit ... I barely cook. (I do love to bake.) My husband is cooking dinner right now. My name is Michelle and I'm not quite a cooking dork ... Productivity dork, definitely! Thank you again. xoxo

  2. Just wanted to let you know that somehow when I just purchased your cookbook for $.99 (still an amazing price) they took off the $.99 as a "promotion" and just charged me tax. Don't know how or why it took the $.99 off but it did :-)
Can't wait to read your cookbook!

  3. Thank you for the book. I have been wanting it for quite awhile, and I was glad to purchase it for 99 cents. I used my Swagbucks money, so it was still free to me :) I am very excited to try some new dinners for the family. I am reading through the book, and I love how frugal and simple yet tasty the dishes look.

  4. Don't you hate when that stuff happens? It was still a steal at $.99! Thank you!

  5. I still bought it and thought it was a steal - you need not apologize. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your recipes!

Just a friendly reminder, if you know me personally please try to refrain from using my name. There are those who may try to locate me, break into my pantry and steal my pickled beets. Thanks:-).
