  1. Hooray!!! Since getting my Kindle for Christmas I have turned into a total book snob. I MUCH prefer the e- format. Can you look up recipes in the e-cookbook, or do you have to go through the book page by page?

    1. Hi, Michelle:-). I downloaded my copy this morning and by using the little magnifying glass (also known as search:-)) in the lower menu, you can search for ingredients (like "apples", etc.) and recipe names (like "bread", "quiche", etc.). It will then give you a page of all the places it's found (with a little excerpt to give you some context) and you can select which page you want go to. Indexing wasn't possible with the e-version because different devices would have different page counts. I'm glad you're excited and I hope I've answered your question:-).

  2. Hi!
I found you somehow last weekend, and spent many hours going through all of your pages on preserving and cooking and gardening. (I used to can a lot when we were back in the states - we are now in Korea and I miss my canner and deep freezer!)I also made many of your recipes - the oatmeal rolls, the sweet potato and black bean burritos (as enchiladas with swiss chard....yummy!) and stuffed peppers. They were delicious and I am so excited that your cookbook is available online (being in Korea and all) that I just ordered it!! YAY! Thanks for the recipes and pics...I've really enjoyed going through your blog. Thanks again - I'm off to look through the cookbook!

Just a friendly reminder, if you know me personally please try to refrain from using my name. There are those who may try to locate me, break into my pantry and steal my pickled beets. Thanks:-).
