Mom to the Rescue, Again

Over the years, I've gone on numerous rescue missions. I've rescued my children from tall ladders, toilets, large cooking pots, laundry baskets, banister rungs, high places, locked rooms, older siblings, younger siblings and cabinets.

But this? This is a new one.

No joke. Miss. Sadie could not get out.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who has to rescue kids routinely....

  1. I love that you made her wait until you got a picture first. You know your mom is a blogger when... lol!

  2. Ha! This is great. Recently I had to rescue my two-year-old. She fell out of bed and got stuck - there was only about 8 inches between the bed and wall. I had to straighten her body and pull her up by an arm and a leg...with much screaming and wailing!

  3. You are certainly not the only one! With boys, I tend to be rescuing the other thing, like when they "frosted" my entire dining room table with peanut butter. ;) I've got to tell you the smell of Dawn dishwashing soap and peanut butter together...not so much. ;)

  4. Anyone with more than one child gets this. There is always one...!

  5. Hilarious! Michelle's comment made me laugh.

  6. I was just telling my friend who wants an exersaucer that I had to give mine away b/c I was always having to pull my big kids out of it after they got stuck.

I've never had a kid get stuck in a large cooking pot, though I've had experience with kids locked in the car on a hot day and the van on a cold one. Yes to all the others including the toilet. lol!

my best story is rescuing the toddler and baby from the locked 2nd story bathroom - had to raise a ladder and climb through the window! Moms find super strength and lose all fear when they have children to save.

  7. Yes... I get this. I found Henry hanging by his spiderman underwear from a recently trimmed branch on our satsuma tree. about 6 inches off the ground. This could have gone so wrong... what btw, was he doing outside in his underwear?

Just a friendly reminder, if you know me personally please try to refrain from using my name. There are those who may try to locate me, break into my pantry and steal my pickled beets. Thanks:-).
